Many items on the list cannot be accomplished without the aid of Jesus Christ who called us to be born again (John 3:7). Even with said "new birth," our own righteous behavior is in itself not efficacious for happiness, hope, love, etc. Only covering of our souls with the blood of the Lamb will suffice to enable the sanctification of our lives which Mr. Shurk rightly advocates for.
